- Selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology for primary emissions reduction
- The absence of an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler allows for nearly 100 percent of exhaust to flow to the fixed geometry turbocharger, equating to more power and improved engine performance
- Low revolutions and high torque, equating to fewer fuel injections and less fuel consumption
- No diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) because of the extraordinarily clean combustion cycle
- Fully automated T14 transmission integration for 14-speed overdrive performance
- Electronic shift actuators for more compact gearbox housing
- Variable oil level upper reservoir reduces parasitic losses and continually lubricates the gears with oil sprayers
- Smooth and quiet operation at low RPMs
- Compression release brake delivering up to 470 hp for secure braking
